A teenage model who was beaten by bullies has had the last laugh after winning a beauty contest - in a WOODEN dress.
Sian Healy, 17, locked herself away after relentless bullying from girls on Twitter and Facebook over her appearance and love of modelling.
She was tormented by jealous girls over social media for being ‘too skinny’ and even physically attacked outside a hotel.
During the attack she was knocked to the ground and left with scratches and cuts to her arms.
Sian’s hair also began falling out in clumps days later after being pulled so hard.
Her mother Claire said: “She was so traumatised that she would not venture out of her room – her father and I were so worried.”
Claire said that the torment even continued during the competition with girls accusing Sian of only saying she was bullied for attention.
“There were the few trolls that came out claiming she was lying about being bullied to gain votes to win.
"She wasn’t putting these stories out to win. She’s just been trying to make a difference,” Claire added.
“She isn’t going to stop doing her charity work or trying to make a difference.”
